A 2010 graduate of Mountain Brook High School, Andrew continued his education at Birmingham Southern College, graduating in 2014. During his college years, he was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity, forming friendships that remained meaningful throughout his life.
Andrew’s steady kindness and gentle presence were felt in the many places he chose to show up and serve. He was a member of Canterbury United Methodist Church, where he served as president of his youth group, offering time and care with a quiet sincerity that reflected a truly generous spirit.
He also gave of himself through volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity, and through the Birmingham Humane Society, where he often fostered kittens and puppies—small acts of compassion that spoke to the heart of gold so many recognized in him. Andrew also enjoyed fencing with the Birmingham Fencing Club.
Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lemuel Hiram Bryant, Jr. and Frances Nesbit Bryant and Betty Lou O'Neal. He is survived by his parents, Anne and Jeff O'Neal; by his sister, Rebecca O'Neal Powers (Patrick); by his grandfather, Richard O'Neal; aunts and uncles, Ginger Trawick, Kathy Ware (William), and Debbie Stanaland (Alan).
