

Visitation will be at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Birmingham, AL on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 1:00 pm. A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm with a reception following.
Officiating the service will be Minister Mel Futrell of Shades Mountain Church of Christ.
Ms. Sparks is survived by her sons Ronald Sparks and wife Maggie Garrett of Kaufman, TX, Jerald Sparks and wife Patricia Sparks of Gentry, AR; Six grandchildren, Rhonda Sparks Sivley, Ashley Sparks Alexander, Randy, Andrew, Stephen and Matthew Sparks; 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Ms. Sparks was preceded in death by her parents William and Bertie Graham Isbell; sisters, Willie Mae Aycock, Mary Lynn Kimbrough, Francis Dunham and one brother, John Allen Isbell.
She was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama and while attending high school there met her future husband Leslie Sparks. They were married in 1942. They eventually settled in Cahaba Heights and she went to work for Kessler's Department Store as a seamstress. When it closed she opened up an alteration business in the basement of her home. She formed many wonderful relationships through her business and love of plants and flowers. She was an active member of Shades Mountain Church of Christ until she moved to KY in 2008.
