Annette Stevens Clanton

CLANTON, ANNETTE STEVENS Age 92, passed away on January 30, 2011. Mrs. Clanton was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church for 40 years where she was in the Gladys Kirby Sunday School Class. She has been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 12 years where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School class. Mrs. Clanton was preceded in death by her sister Bertha S. Lawrence (Ed), and her brother J. T. Stevens. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Hulon John Clanton, two sons Wallace Marvin Claytor, and John W. Clanton (Hazel), four grandchildren Tina Davis (Eric), Darrell Clanton, Karen Clanton (Chuck), and Shellie Talley (Beau), six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Clanton will be Tuesday, February 1, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at 1:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church officiated by Dr. Andrew Wolfe with burial at Elmwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
