

Anthony Paul DeMarco, age 80, died peacefully Tuesday, April 20, 2021. He was born to Paul and Theresa DeMarco on December 27, 1940. Anthony was a graduate of John Carroll High School and Samford University (Howard).
Anthony will be missed by all who knew him. Anthony is preceded in death by his beloved wife Frances Sicola DeMarco, and parents Paul and Theresa DeMarco. He is survived by Sons, Paul John (Jacqueline), and John (Amy); Grandchildren Francesca, Jack, Johnny, Andie, and Joseph DeMarco; Sister, Mary Ann Bruno (Vincent), and Brothers, Lee DeMarco, and Paul DeMarco (Barbara), as well as many nieces and nephews who cared for him and loved him very much.
Anthony's life was centered around his family and he will be greatly missed by them. His favorite pastime was spending time with his five grandchildren. Anthony was a veteran of the Alabama Air National Guard Air Wing in Birmingham, Alabama and served active duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Anthony worked with his father in running a family business, DeMarco Building Supply Co. for many years. The family would like to thank Dr. Raleigh Kent, many caregivers and Hospice for compassionate care in Anthony's final days.
Due to Covid, the family held funeral services privately at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Birmingham and burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial contributions in Anthony's name be directed to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. Services are under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood.
