

Born December 13th 1931 in Brooklyn New York to parents Elsie and Fred and had 3 siblings; Feddy Jr, Bobby and Joyce. He was married to his wife Elaine for 64 years. They had 6 beautiful children together and 12 loving grandchildren.
Arthur was a police officer in New York City where he worked his way up the ranks to become Captain. In 1981, he was hired as Chief of Police in Birmingham, Alabama where he served for 10 years before retiring. While still working, he earned his Juris Doctor at the Birmingham School of Law. While Chief, he earned national accreditation for the police department and was the recipient of the emancipation proclamation award from the 16th street Baptist Church for his efforts. He was a certified pilot, an avid hunter & overall outdoorsman. He was a published Author and several of his screen plays made their way to television. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was a Mason.
After his retirement the family decided to remain in Birmingham. Arthur is survived by his wife Elaine, his children Arthur II, Carolyn, Elsie, Kathleen, Barbara & Deborah all his 12 grandchildren and his younger brother Bobby.
