
age 72, of Mountain Brook passed away on June 19, 2010. She is survived by
her husband of 50 years, James Franklin Beall; her daughters, Alison Bryant (Mike) of Mountain Brook, Amy Michaux (Thornton) of Greenville, South Carolina, and Betsy Huff (David) of Helena, Alabama; her grandchildren, Jon and Will Bryant, Katherine, Alison and Emily Michaux, and Cole, Isabelle and Sam Huff; her sisters, Jackie Wadle (Joe), of Manakin-Sabot, Virginia, and Kay Defoor of Gainesville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Davis Weede and Katherine McLemore Weede of Jekyl Island, Georgia.
Born in Courtland, Virginia, Mrs. Beall attended high school in Avondale
Estates, Georgia, and graduated from The University of Alabama where she was a member of Phi Mu sorority. She belonged to Canterbury United
Methodist Church and was a member of United Methodist Women.
Much of her life, Mrs. Beall was an avid tennis player, gaining much pleasure from participating in competitive events with her friends at The Country Club of Birmingham. A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Beall treasured her eight grandchildren. She displayed great empathy for all animals, especially enjoying her faithful pets throughout the years.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff in SICU at Trinity Medical Center and Kim Brakefield of New Beacon Hospice for their outstanding care and compassion.
A memorial service will be held at Canterbury United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at 1:00 P.M., with visitation in Canterbury Hall immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to:
