Eddie, Haley, and Stefanie, please accept my sincere condolences for Betty's death. I have such fond memories of Betty...her love of flowers, birds, books, and art; her delicious cheese straws; her kindness to our family during Linc's illness and death; her wit and creativity; how she enjoyed changing her collection of paintings with the seasons; how she listened and advised me as a young mother; and how upset she got when I mowed her grass when I mowed my own (but she forgave me). I missed going to see her after she moved from Lakeview, and I could not track her down. She was more than a kind neighbor to me. She was like an adopted mom who I loved dearly.
