Betty A. Meeks, age 81 of Vestavia Hills, died on Monday, December 21, 2015. She was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. Betty attended Canterbury United Methodist Church and was a volunteer at Saint Martin’s in the Pines for over 35 years. She was also a member of three dance clubs and of The Club.
Betty is survived by her husband, J. Paul Meeks, Jr.; sons: Austin Vaughn (Diane), Mike Vaughn (Mary); stepdaughter: Marsha Vickers (Owen); granddaughters: Kelly Vaughn, Molly Vaughn and a grandson David Vaughn.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 26, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout’s Valley Chapel. The burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
