Beverly “Bebe” Andrews Penfield, age 84 passed away on July 15, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Gayleon Andrews (Kate McNabb), her husband of 46 years, Willis E. Penfield, Jr.; and her sister Kate “Sissy” Andrews Russell. Bebe was a lovely and caring person who was devoted to her family. Although she was stricken with MS at the age of 26, which resulted in periods of time from then on, where she was unable to walk, Bebe and Willis raised three children in a home full of love and laughter where friends and family were always warmly welcomed. They were also the proud grandparents of three grandsons and were very involved in their lives. Bebe was known for her fantastic memory and beautiful, gracious, loving spirit. She will be greatly missed.

Bebe is survived by her children, Beverly Penfield Westfall (Pearce), Willis E. Penfield, III (Pat), and Elizabeth Penfield Ryan; grandsons, James Pearce Westfall (Shea), Jonathan Penfield Ryan and Patrick Andrew Ryan; her brother Thomas Gayleon Andrews, Jr. (Milbrey) and her sister in law Marcia Penfield Little (Ken) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom and Dad Penfield welcomed me with open arms into their home and their lives when Beth and I became best friends after having met at the Alabama School of Fine Arts way back when dinosaurs still roamed the Earth. I was a goofy kid from the North and Mom taught me so much about Southern living through her wit, grace, and charm. While Mom has now left us to join Dad and our Heavenly Father, the memories I have of wonderful times spent with the Penfield's will forever keep them close to my heart. I love you Mom and Dad Penfield.
