

Bobby lived in Homewood most of his adult life with his wife Joan (Renaud) of 43 years. He raised three children, Jill Young (Clarke), Scott Anderson (Lisa), and Nicole Dear (Stuart.) His children gave him six grandkids, Austin, Shelby, Brian, Andy, Charlotte, and Joseph.
He was born and raised in West Point, the son of Ernest and Girdie. He was the youngest of six siblings. He was preceded in death by Eva, Gordon, and Billy and is survived by Wannie and Yvonne.
Bobby was a lifelong learner and educator. He earned his BS degree in Business and Economics at the University of Montevallo, followed by multiple degrees from other universities, and finally his doctorate in Education from University of Alabama.
He was Administrator for the Jefferson County Adult Vocational Center, Assistant Professor of Education at UAB, Principal at Riverchase Middle School, and served as Counselor and special education at various schools throughout Georgia.
A graveside service at Bethlehem West Baptist Church at West Point, Alabama in the spring. Bobby lived a long, full life and was well loved. His family and friends will miss him.
