

Bobby Ross Trammell, born on May 26, 1936, passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 89. A resident of Mountain Brook, Alabama, Bobby's life was marked by his dedication to family, community, and his many passions.
Bobby attended Shades Cahaba School and Shades Valley High School before pursuing higher education at Auburn University, where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
In his professional life, Bobby co-founded Tri Fab Steel with his partners Ed Key and Jim Sawyer, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Ethel Boteler Trammell, and his siblings, Faye Graham (Tommy), Margaret Williams (Leon), Jean Jackson (Carey), Ruth Lloyd (Homer), Gertie Walker (Ernest) and brother Dowell Trammell. Bobby is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Judy Sawyer Trammell, his daughter Robin Trammell, son Sam Trammell (Amanda), grandson, S.J. Trammell, sister Tommie Lou Williams, and sister in law Joyce Trammell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family members Aree Oliver, and Deborah and Bennie Armstrong.
Bobby's personal interests included a love for hot rods, riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and boating. He cherished time at the beach, enjoyed snow skiing, and relaxing at the lake. A longtime member of Mountain Brook Baptist Church, Bobby enjoyed being a member of the Nelson Russell Wiley Forum sunday school class. Bobby was known for his warmth and generosity, loving his neighbors like they were his own family. He was also Past Potentate of the Zamora Shrine and a devoted fan of the Auburn Tigers.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain Brook Baptist church with a visitation immediately following the service in Hudson Hall at the church.
In memory of Bobby, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to The Shriners Hospital.
