Brenda M. Bone was born May 13, 1947, and answered the call to return to her heavenly home on March 24, 2022, at the age of 74. In 1999 under NAFTA, the factory where Brenda worked for twenty plus years relocated to Mexico. The company asked Brenda to travel to Mexico to set up the new company. After the company was established in Mexico, Brenda returned to the States and, at the age of 52, returned to school and earned an Associates Degree. After graduating, the college she attended hired her as a Financial Aide clerk. She retired from this position with Trentholm Community College after ten years.
Brenda was most passionate about her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The 23rd Psalm was her favorite. Brenda was adamant that she wanted no tears at her passing and would remind us to "let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; also believe in Jesus. In the Father's house, there are many rooms. Jesus went before us to prepare a place for you. And if He goes and prepares a place for you, He will come again and take you to Himself, that where Jesus is you may also be." [ John 14:1-3] I am assured that Brenda is with Jesus.
Brenda was born to Hazel Dawn and Harold Wesley Goodwin, who predeceased her. She is survived by her three children Robert Bone, Roger Bone (Tracy), and R. Lea Bone (Blaine). In addition, Brenda is survived by her fourteen grandchildren-- Raven Hatchet; Robert J. Bone, Alex Bone, Eric Bone, Matthew Bone, Hailey Johnson, Morgan Kasten, Austin Bone, Brandon Bone, Hunter Bone, Chad Nichols, Kinsley Nichols, Preston Davis, and Cricket Davis.
We will have a Celebration of Life for Brenda on April 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. The service will be held at Ridout's Valley Chapel located at 1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, Alabama 35209. A reception will follow.
