Buell was preceded by Gaynell Gibson Moore his loving wife of 66 years. They were married in Birmingham on January 24, 1953.
Buell is remembered and survived by his children; Pamela Guill (James), Wayne Moore (Helene) and Tai Moore his grandchildren Matt Guill (Erin), Brian Guill, Marissa Grant (Casey), Siena Moore, and his great grandchildren Keily Grant, Conor Grant, Logan Grant, Liam Grant and Mackenzie Guill.
Buell was born in Logan, Alabama in 1926. He, along with his father and older brother worked a farm. When he was old enough he enlisted in the Navy during WWII. He was accepted into the V-5 Aviation Cadet Training Program.
He attended the University of Alabama and received a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. After college he began his work career with Chicago Bridge & Iron, Co. where he met Gaynell. Soon after they were married.
In 1959, after having three children, they moved to London where his sales territory was Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Thus began his business travels that took him all over the world. His career with CBI went from Engineer / Draftsman to President of the company.
Buell's other great love was golf, a game he took with him on his world travels.
The visitation will be held at Ridout's Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Rd, Homewood, AL. On Thursday, November 14th from 1:00-2:00pm. The service will follow at 2:00pm.
The private burial will take place at Cullman Cemetery.
