Carol was born in Buffalo, New York on April 23rd, 1956 to her parents James Robert Parrish and Nancy Ann Silvanage Parrish. After marrying her husband, she moved to Opp, Alabama in 1983 where she spent most of her years raising her 5 sons and remembering, but not missing, the snow in Buffalo. She was married for over 40 years to David Kenneth Peacock Sr. who preceded her in death in February of 2017.
She is survived by five sons David Kenneth Peacock Jr (wife Marly), William Brant Peacock, James Robert Peacock (wife Amy), Christopher Adam Peacock, and Donald Gerrard Wilson III (wife Tera). She also leaves behind her six grandchildren Tristan, Jackson, Gavin, Myla, Alyssa and Sydney, as well as one great grandchild. Carol was a giving mother and grandmother that always wanted to show love and provide for her family. Regardless of what she had, she always made sure to give. Birthdays and Christmases were always amazing with her.
She was the oldest sibling of five girls and is survived by her four dear sisters; Donna Rauch, Sandra Parrish, Kathy Rauch, and Joan Chatfield. Even though they were spread across the country, from south Florida, to New York, to Maine, these loving sisters remained close. They provided her with eight nieces and nephews; Dorothy, David (preceded in death), Donald, Thomas, Steven, Mandy, Melissa, and Timothy.
Carol had many interests such as gardening (she grew the best tomatoes), reading, and yelling at politicians on television. She loved the time that surrounded the holidays. Holiday decorations, baking, and television shows. This was when she made it special for her family. Carol was a beautifully stubborn woman, who loved to share her knowledge and opinions with all. She was definitely a Buffalo Bills superfan. Through the good years and the bad, she was always with her team.
Carol will especially be remembered for her love of baking. The amount of care and love she put into everything she cooked was a reflection of how much she wanted to take care of others and was definitely her way of showing love and giving comfort.
The final years for Carol were spent as a resident of Andalusia Alabama.
