Carolyn Welch Sasser

Carolyn was born in Elmore County, Alabama the daughter of Julius and Dera Welch. She graduated from Alabama College (University of Montevallo). Carolyn was married to Myron J. Sasser of Alexander City and Birmingham Alabama. Carolyn resided in Birmingham for the past 65 years.

Carolyn was an avid reader, enjoyed her greenhouse, flowers and gardening. She loved to sew for her daughters and played piano and sang in the choir at McElwain Baptist Church. Carolyn was also active in the McElwain PTA, and was a volunteer for 25 years at Baptist Medical Center, Montclair.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Myron J Sasser, two daughters, Susan M Clem and Cathy L Sasser, both of Atlanta Georgia, and grandchildren, Blake C. Clem and Jaime K. Clem.

Funeral service will be grave side 11:00 a.m. April 28, 2015, Forest Crest Cemetery of Irondale, Alabama.
