Caswell Hanley McWaters Sr.

Caswell Hanley McWaters, Sr., age 86, was born March 29, 1927, and passed away on March 16, 2014. He was a resident of Vestavia Hills and a member of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. He previously served in several leadership capacities in the Alabama Association of Public Accountants as well as the Birmingham Chapter of Public Accountants. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Doris Ginn McWaters, and his parents, Calvin Hanley McWaters and Ozella Brown McWaters.

He is survived by his daughter, Grace McWaters Hicks (Mike); son, Caswell H. McWaters, Jr. (Deborah); grandchildren, Austin Hicks, Katherine Hicks, Hanley McWaters, and Heath McWaters; and loving cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Johns Ridouts Valley Chapel in Homewood. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Johns Ridouts, as well. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Vestavia Hills Baptist Church Building Fund.
