Vance, Charles R. "Bobby", (62) of Hoover passed away Saturday, March 9th, surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Sheila of (28) years, sister, Ginger Millican (Gene), brothers, James M. Vance (Paula), Richard Cary Vance (Wendy), mother-in-law, Lonnell Smith, numerous nieces and nephews. Over the years, Bobby was maintenance supervisor for Seaman Timber Co., Argo, Dixie Industrial Equipment and most recently Dewberry Properties. He enjoyed scuba diving, sailing and fishing. He was active member of the Birmingham Amateur Radio Club. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 13th, 11:00 a.m. at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood. Visitation at 10:30.
