I am eternally indebted to Charlie for selecting me to be a supervisor in his organization. He was among the best people I have had the pleasure to work with.

Mary Ann, we were sad to hear about Charlie. Each time we visited Gary and Vickie and VHBC, you and Charlie always made a special effort to talk with us a bit. After reading about Charlie, your lives and ours seemed to
have some things in common.
We know you will miss him but know you will have warm memories and God's
presence to help you through this.

Our prayers and thoughts will be with you and your family.

Charlie was much loved by my family and was my second daddy when I first moved to Birmingham in 1969. Your entire family was so good to me, and I have such fond memories from then and from family outings from early childhood onward. He will be greatly missed.

Charles Goodson was easily one of the finest Christian men I have ever known. When I was chairman of the deacons, I would not make any decisions without checking with Charlie for his opinion first. He was very serious about keeping all church members informed about everything regarding church matters. What a great man and he will be missed, but heaven is much richer today.
