Charles Allen Maxwell, Sr., 61 of Birmingham, Al, passed away Friday, June 14, at his home. Son of the late John Peters Maxwell and Anne Eddy Maxwell, Allen was a civil engineer by profession, and was passionate about music, animals, and the outdoors, and an active supporter of Boys Scouts of America. A man of many interests and hobbies, he will be remembered for his enthusiasm for having fun whether he was camping, climbing, cycling, fishing, hiking, hunting, playing music, singing, or dancing.
He is survived by his sons, Charles Allen Maxwell, Jr, and John Carter Maxwell, and many loving family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 19, at 1pm at Independent Presbyterian Church with a memorial service to follow at 2pm.
