She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce McGill Jones, Jr, her sisters Evelyn Byrd Reeves (Clifford), Joan McCoy Edmonds (William), and her brother Euell Elma McCoy, Jr. (Ruth). She graduated from Ramsay High School, attended Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Ga. She was a long-time member of Independent Presbyterian Church. She also was a member of the Junior League of Birmingham and the Linly Heflin Unit.
She is survived by her 5 children: Mrs. Cynthia Serota (Ted), Bruce M. Jones, III (Anne), Mrs. Christine Lanier (Barry), Mrs. Evelyn Love (James), and Mrs. Elizabeth Kerns (Hutchison), her 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Independent Presbyterian Church on July 9, 2026, at 2:00 pm. Visitation following in the Church parlor.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the IPC General Fund, IPC Organ Fund or the Linly Heflin Unit.
