Daniel James "Dan" Conboy, of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, passed away on June 28th, 2018 at the age of 52. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his children, Natalie and Christian, their mother, Susan, his mother, Barbara, and his siblings, Jim (Michele), Chris (George), Tom, Barbara (Rocky), and Karen (Pete). He was preceded in death by his father, Christopher. Dan was a native of Hicksville, New York and a graduate of Chaminade High School and the University of Virginia. His most memorable traits included an amazing sense of humor, a strong work ethic, and an endless love for his children and extended family. Dan had a deep Catholic faith and also loved golfing, skiing, and boating. He will be dearly missed by his family, his friends, his coworkers at McGriff, Seibels & Williams, and others fortunate enough to know him. Friends and family will be accepting visitors at Ridout's Valley Chapel (1800 Oxmoor Rd.) on Thursday, July 12th from 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 13th at 2 PM, preceded by a visitation starting at 1 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (1728 Oxmoor Rd). Memorial donations may be made in memory of Dan to JDRF (http://www.jdrf.org/) to support Type 1 diabetes research.

I will greatly miss and always remember Dan's kindness, thoughtfulness, and humor. I always enjoyed hearing updates about Natalie and Christian; he was and will forever be so proud of them. I am praying for the Conboy family during this difficult time.
