David Rumph

David served his country honorably in the army where he was awarded a bronze star.

David loved to hunt and fish. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling around the world with his wife Gloria. David had a lifelong love of learning. He picked up many skills, from air conditioning repair and stained glass making to cooking and building computers. David enjoyed making others smile and laugh.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Gloria; sister, Linda aged 83; children, Chiquita and David; nephews, Albert, Robert and Jason; grandchild Keyaira and great grandchildren; Destiny, Kameron and Alex.

Services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Fairfield, AL November 15th at 10 a.m. officiated by father Phil Paxton, with repast to follow immediately after the service.

There will be no public or private viewing.

David will be laid to rest with honors at the Alabama National cemetery at 2 pm November 15th.
