David George Stoves

David was a graduate of Auburn University, and he served in the United States Army.  He began his accounting career at South Highlands Hospital, then worked at North Alabama Fabricating Company until retirement.

He served faithfully with Disciples Fellowship.  David loved his family and especially enjoyed celebrating Christmas with family traditions.

David is survived by his loving wife Jennie, his daughter Jennifer Hernandez (Fernando), his son Jonathan and his brother Thomas E. Stoves, Jr. (Glenda).

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 31st beginning at 10:00 am with the funeral service following at 11:00 am. at Ridout's Valley Chapel located at 1800 Oxmoor Rd., Homewood, AL 35209.  A graveside service with full military honors will be at Alabama National Cemetery on January 2, 2026 beginning at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of David can be made to the Disciples Fellowship Community Benevolence Fund, 3064 Lorna Road, Suite C, Birmingham, AL 35216.
