

She married Coleman Daniel Geary, III in 1954 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Birmingham. She was a devoted mother to her son Coleman Daniel Geary, IV and a compassionate friend to many.
Upon marrying, the Geary’s lived in New York City and Tuscaloosa. They returned to Birmingham in 1965. Mrs. Geary was a very active parishioner at Our Lady of Sorrows as a Sacristan, a Committed Adorer in the Adoration Chapel and as past president of the Ladies Altar Sodality and of St. Anne Guild.
Mrs. Geary attended Birmingham Southern College and graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She was a member of Phi Mu Fraternity. Prior to her marriage, she worked for the Jefferson County Department of Health and Liberty National Life Insurance Company.
In addition to her husband and son, Mrs. Geary is survived by her brothers Arthur J. Sharbel, Jr. (Virginia) and Paul J. Sharbel (Marianne) and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Omra Sharbel Joseph.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 31 at 11 a.m. with Msgr. Martin Muller, Chor-Bishop Richard Saad and Rev Jaya Prathap Reddy Duggimpudi con-celebrating. Visitation will precede the service one hour before. Memorials are suggested to the Building Fund of Our Lady of Sorrows, 1728 Oxmoor Rd., Homewood 35209 or to a favorite charity.
