A beloved and cherished presence in the lives around her, she carried herself with a gentle steadiness—compassionate, kind-hearted, and quietly selfless in the ways that mattered most.
Raised in a military family, Donna learned early the values of loyalty, devotion, and faithfulness that would shape her life. She graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1967 and later attended Jefferson Stat Community College, continuing forward with the same dependable resolve that marked so much of her journey.
Donna built a long and respected career in banking, serving as a longtime employee of Central Bank and later Regions Bank, where she worked as a Construction Loans Officer. In her professional life, she was known for her reliability and conscientious care—qualities that reflected the considerate spirit she brought to every part of her life.
Donna loved entertaining family and friends, and her warmth was often felt most clearly around a shared table. She especially loved cooking, offering comfort and welcome through the simple, meaningful act of feeding others. True to her gentle nature, she carried a kind soul and did not hold grudges, choosing grace and peace over resentment. She will be deeply missed, and her family takes comfort in the belief that she is being blessed in heaven.
Donna is survived by her husband, Steve Harper; her sisters, Patricia Anderson Hunter(Mel) and Miriam Anderson(John); and her brother, Andy Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius B Anderson and Mary Jane Fanning Anderson.
