Dorothy T. Ashby

After graduating from Phillips High School she attended Randolph-Macon Women’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a member of Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church, Mountain Brook Club and The Club.

Predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Floyd Berry Tayloe, by her son, Floyd Berry Tayloe, Jr. and her husband Charles Willard Ashby. She is survived by children, Carl Teal Tayloe (Janie), Graham Elliott Tayloe (Cathy), and Dorothy Jane Tayloe. She is also survived by her grandchildren Graham Elliott Tayloe, Jr. (Keeley), William Massey Tayloe (Christy), Thomas Berry Tayloe (Ainsley) as well as great grandsons, Will, Carter, Parker, Berry, Archie and great granddaughters Teal and Oakes.

According to her wishes, family only graveside services will be held at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be this Wednesday, July 14th at Saint Luke’s Church from 10:30 – 12:00.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s or Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church in her memory.
