Our Sister in Christ, Earlene Allen Wambles, parted ways with this fallen world on Wednesday, the 27th of January 2021. She was 82 years of age. She was raised and will be put to rest in Springhill, Alabama. She was most recently a resident of Hoover, Alabama after living in Wilsonville, Alabama; Enterprise, AL; Bedford, TX; Seoul, South Korea; and Clarksville, TN.
Earlene (aka, “Bunk” & “Granny Bunk”) is survived by Charles William Wambles, her loving and ultra-caring husband of 61 years, and 2 sons, Philip Henry Wambles of Birmingham, Alabama and Charles “Scotty” Wambles of San Antonio, TX. She was an awesome grandmother to 4 “heaven sent” boys, Hayden, Avery, Dalton, and Brayden.
In a house “full of her boys”, Earlene was joined in sisterhood by her favorite daughters-in-law, Gwen Wambles, of Birmingham, and Tammy Wambles, of San Antonio.
Earlene was preceded in death by 5 siblings born to Early Clavy Allen and Bunie Grissette Allen of Springhill, Alabama. Kenneth Allen of Goshen, Alabama is her only surviving brother. She was a sister-in-law to 6 siblings: James “Buddy” Wambles, Merle Norton, Annette Parker, Mae Rainey; Joyce Sanders; Judy Weber; and Henrietta Allen, all born to William Henry Wambles and Sis Owens Wambles of Jack, Alabama. Respectively, these sibling’s spouses are/were Jane Wambles, Bobby Norton, Ronnie Rainey, Ray Parker, O’Neal Sanders, Tommy Grissett, Kirk Weber and Terry Allen.
Earlene was proud to be a member of Vestavia Primitive Baptist Church, Vestavia, Alabama.
