Eleanor L Green

Eleanor Linder Green 70, of Vestavia, passed away on June 5, 2013 after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Hugh Mattison Linder, M.D. and Eleanor Shelton Linder.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Green Pittman (John), Kellie Green Thompson and James A. Green III (Kim); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Pittman Owens (Jeremy), Shelby Pittman Henson (Kelly), Lauren Pittman, Anne Pittman, Ashlie Grill Walker (Eric), Hunter Grill, Justin Green, Tanner Green and 8 great grandchildren; and her sister Marian Linder Bradford (Patton) and Carol Linder Taylor (David). Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, James Hugh Linder, M.D..

Eleanor graduated from Brooke Hill School (now Altamont) and received a B.S. degree in Nursing from The University of Alabama. For many years she was on the nursing staff as an obstetrics nurse at Baptist Medical Center - Montclair.

Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to her, and she will always be remembered as their “Tootie”.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetary.
