Gaynell is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Buell. They were married in Birmingham on January 24, 1953
Gaynell is lovingly remembered by her children Pamela Guill (James), Wayne Moore (Helene) and Ty Moore; her grandchildren: Matthew Guill (Erin), Brian Guill, Marissa Guill Grant (Casey) and Siena Moore and by her great grandchildren: Keily Grant and Conor Grant.
Gaynell was born in Starkville, Mississippi in 1934. She graduated from Woodlawn High School while caring for her younger sister who was dying from cancer. After high school she started working for Chicago Bridge & Iron, Co. where she met Buell. In 1959 they moved to London where she raised three children and attended the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute. After moving back to the United States she attended Wheaton College in Illinois. The rest of her education came from living a full life and travelling the world from Europe to Egypt to Japan.
Gaynell enjoyed painting, golf, cooking, and entertaining and time spent with her family.
The family will receive friends at Ridout's Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Rd, Homewood, AL. on Thursday, March 8th from 1:00-2:00pm with the funeral service at 2:00pm. A Reception will follow the service.
The burial will be private at Cullman City Cemetery Friday March 9, 2018.
