The Lord, in His love and ultimate sovereignty, brought George Francis Bohorfoush, IV, 66, of Vestavia Hills, AL home on February 19, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. We garner peace in that the Lord granted him one last beautiful day of sailing. George was an amazing husband, father and friend. The list of positive attributes he brought to those around him is long, but, if you knew George, we take solace in the fact that you knew all these things.
George was born July 29, 1953 in Birmingham, AL to Mr. and Mrs. George Francis Bohorfoush, III. George attended John Carroll High School in Birmingham, AL. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama and continued his education to become a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.
George was preceded in death by his parents, niece Alison Reynolds, and brother-in-law Wayne French. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sherry; son Chad Moseley (Mandy) of Homewood, AL; daughters Claire Johnson (Michael) of Vestavia Hills, AL and Lauren Smith (Brandon) of Vestavia Hills, AL; six grandchildren, Alex Ray, Harvey Ray, Woods Ray, Annie Ray, Sidney Johnson, and Ella Johnson; and two sisters, Charlotte French of Guntersville, AL and Susan Ridley of Birmingham, AL.
Your prayers and support have been deeply felt and appreciated. To God be the glory. Please join us for a celebration of George. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m.
