George Boyd Traylor, III, 74, of Birmingham, Alabama, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ March 14. George was raised in Gadsden, Alabama and graduated from Gadsden High School. He later went on to Auburn University where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
George is survived by his former wife, Judy Watkins Traylor; his two daughters, Amy Traylor Corcoran (Jim) and Katie Traylor Dunn (Allen); and his four grandchildren, Claire Frances Corcoran, John Collins Dunn, Julia Grace Corcoran, and Emma Elizabeth Dunn. He is also survived by his sister, Kendall Traylor Copeland (Charles) and his brother, Dr. Thomas B. Traylor (Marilyn).
A celebration of life and visitation with the family will be held at John Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood on Saturday, March 23 from 12:30 - 2pm followed by a memorial service at 2pm.
