H.L. “Mac” McMillan went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2013. He was a South Carolina native, a graduate of the University of South Carolina and a World War II Veteran. Mac came to Alabama in 1967 while working for the Telephone Company. After retiring in 1984, Mac followed his dream of living on the water and moved to the lake.
Mac was preceded in death by his wife: Ruth McMillan. He is survived by his son: Mike and his wife Cathy; his daughter Meg and her husband Akbar, his grandson Justin and his wife Jeri Kay, his grandson Jeremy and his wife Kelly, his granddaughter Marie and her husband Cody and his great granddaughter Abigail.
The family will receive friends at Ridout’s Valley Chapel on Thursday, March 7th, from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. with graveside services following at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery.
