Born December 4, 1911 in Talladega, AL. Graduated from Ensley
High School in 1931. After graduation he married Louise Borland in
1933. She preceded him in death in 2002.
He worked in the transportation industry as a
Sales Representative. He was a member of the Birmingham Motor
Truck Club and the Shades Valley Optimist Club. A member of
Dawson Memorial Baptist Church for 60 years.
He is survived by his daughter Jan Ellison, son, Dixon Forrester(Mary Anne) of
Marietta, GA, granddaughters Deborah Ellison Barr(Andy) Chicago, IL,
Michele Ellison Hamner(Ted).. Great grandchildren, Kendyl, Austin, Carter, Luke,
Ellison, Griffin and Reagan.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 21, 2013 10- 11 at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood. Funeral service will be at 11 in the chapel followed by burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
