So sorry that Jack has passed on.  I am one of his first cousins.  We had a lot of good times together growing up playing "kick the can", fishing, playing football in the front yard, playing board games like RISK and enjoying family.  Jack always had a great smile and was fun to be around.  He was strong and fast and hit hard when we played football!!  He will be missed.  

Jack was very social and loved to play growing up.

Jack was in the cub scouts and our mother was den mother.  I was an honorary cub scout with him, although 7 years Jack's junior :-).  Here he is in uniform with our neighbors.  

Growing up in Atlanta, we always were playing with our friends in the neighborhood.  Donna and Rob, who lived next door, were especially were fond of playing cards, including Canasta, with Jack and me. 

Jack was athletic, playing baseball, football, and basketball with his friends and our cousins.  In addition he walked to the pool to swim with friends.  He lettered in  soccer in high school too.  

Jack was avid about playing board games, especially strategy games like chess, which he played with everyone.  

Jack liked to fish at our grandparents' house on Lake Jodeco.  Here he caught a large catfish from that lake.

Jack always loved his pets and other animals.

Jack played his sax in the band throughout elementary and high school.  He played with the band at high school graduations and all the football games.  Our family often went to the games to see him play.  He could keep the beat while I could not on my clarinet.  He worked with me on that.

Growing up, Jack always enjoyed playing with our cousins at our grandparent's lake house.  

Here we are together at Easter.  We always had an Easter egg hunt for the little cousins and the older cousins would hide the eggs for the hunt.  

One of our favorite card games was canasta, which we played with our cousins, parents, and grandparents during holidays and get-togethers.

     When I was growing-up, Jack and his family lived down the street. He would spend time with me and my brother playing ball, board games, or just hanging-out.
       Jack could run like the wind and throw a perfect spiral football . We’d play Risk, Stratego, and Monopoly. He even invented a game he named Flags that was similar to Risk. Time with Jack was very special to me.

I was so terribly sorry to receive an email from Donna Sosby Shaw this morning telling me that we had lost our friend since childhood, Jack.  Such fond memories of the three of us and other kids in the neighborhood playing during the summer breaks from Cleveland Ave. and Tull Waters Elementary.
Please accept my sincerest sympathy and deepest condolences at this time and in the days ahead.
