

He was a beloved husband, father, grand father & great grand father. His life was marked by his Christian faith, his family, friends and customers.
He was born April 30, 1934 and raised in North Birmingham. In 1972 he opened his business Jim Harvey’s Spring and Alignment Service, “If it Shimmy’s …Call Jimmy” and ran it until it burned in 2021.
He married the love of his life on November 2, 1984 and gained 2 daughters that filled his heart with love.
He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, 9 Siblings, Son David Harvey, Daughter Susan Wiley Lavette (Tommy), Grandson Josh Harvey, Granddaughter Elizabeth Harvey and many nieces & nephews.
He is survived by his loving wife Judy Harvey of 40 years, Daughters Heather Hoglan (Bob), Holli Harris (Stephen), Grandchildren Kamryn Harris, Jacob Harris, Bailee McWhorter (Chandler), Truett Edwards, Rachel Ford (Josh) and Lauren Wiley. Great grandchildren Haigen, Colt, Everlee, Caysun, Vinny & Max. He had many nieces & nephews.
The family invites you to join them on Monday, March 17, 2025 for visitation from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Ridout’s Valley Chapel 1800 Oxmoor Rd Homewood, Al. A funeral service in the chapel at 12:00 will be
followed by a committal service at 1:30 at Forest Crest Cemetery on Hwy 78 East.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to First Baptist Church of Birmingham.
Pallbearers will be Bob Hoglan, Stephen Harris, Jacob Harris, Truett Edwards, Jamie Edwards,and Lou Fantacone
