James Morgan Ledbetter, age 72, of Birmingham died on October 30. 2013. He was born December 29, 1940 in Montgomery, AL to Herman I. and Allie Belle Ledbetter. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1959, earned his BA in 1965 at Huntingdon College and a Masters of Social Work at Florida State University in 1967. He worked in Psychiatric Social Work at UAB Department of Psychiatry from 1971 until 2007.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bonnie M. Ledbetter; sister in law, Helen W. Ledbetter; niece, Frances Lynne Wilder and nephew, Billy C. Ledbetter. The family will receive friends 10 until 11 on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood, Al. Funeral service will be at 11:00 in the chapel with burial at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery in Montgomery, AL at 1:30.
