Garber Galbraith, born October 29, 1944, died December 8, 2012 after a
prolonged illness. She attended Brooke Hill School, graduated from
Sacred Heart Academy in Cullman, Alabama and attended Marymount
College in Arlington, Virginia. Jane is survived by two daughters,
Allison Cline Wright (Chris) of Nashville, Tennessee, Stephanie Cline
Tilles (Ryan) of Costa Mesa, California, grandchildren Jackson
Galbraith Wright and Katherine Adair Wright of Nashville, Tennessee.
Jane is also survived by three sisters, Ann Galbraith, Kay Galbraith
Bryars (Carter) Mobile, Alabama, and Laura Galbraith East.
The family wishes to thank her caregiver Regina DeLemus, her personal
physician Dr. Gorman Jones and her doctors and caregivers at UAB.
Jane enjoyed her loyal and loving family and friends and had a
delightful sense of humor. Jane’s sweet spirit and strong faith will
be greatly missed by all.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Visitation
will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 12th, 2012 at St.
Francis Xavier Catholic Church in the sanctuary foyer, with the
funeral service immediately following at 11:00 am. In lieu of
flowers, contributions may be made to J. Garber Galbraith Scholarship
Fund at St. Bernard Abbey: 1600 St. Bernard Avenue S.E. in Cullman,
Alabama 35055 or a charity of your choice.
