She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Raymond Louis Pharo, Sr.; daughters Debra Pharo McCurry, Sharon Pharo Myers (Bill), and Lisa Pharo Mills (Packey); son Raymond Louis Pharo, Jr.; grandchildren Rachael McCurry Inman (Jeff), Andrew McCurry (Blaire), Daniel McCurry (Susan), Ryan Myers, Tiffany Myers Vukovich (Brian), Adam Myers (Ashlee), Patrick Mills, and Nelson Mills; twelve great-grandchildren; sister Eleanor Egan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Yeager; her mother, Agravene Yeager Bohorfoush; and her brothers Richard Yeager and Wallace Yeager.
Janice had a sunny, outgoing personality and was a favorite of all who knew her. In her youth, she was active in the Girl Scouts of America and was selected as an alternate for Our Chalet in Switzerland.
She was a member of St. George Melkite Greek Catholic Church located at 425 16th Avenue South, Birmingham, Alabama 35205, where the visitation and funeral service will be held on Monday, June 29th. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm, officiated by Father Justin Rose. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham.
In lieu of usual remembrances, those desiring may send donations to Alzheimer's of Central Alabama, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Girl Scouts of America, the St. George Building Fund or a charity of your choice.
