

She was born July 10, 1951, in Birmingham, Alabama to James Eddie and Martha Louise (Farlow) Osborn. She was a 1973 graduate of Auburn University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology and had a long career at Lloyd Nolan Hospital and Montclair Hospital, finishing her career at Children’s Hospital. At Lloyd Nolan, she met her husband of forty-three years, Robert Waldrop and on October 2, 1982, they married in Birmingham, Alabama. They went on to have two daughters, Lindsey and Caitlin.
Janice lived a full life and enjoyed many simple pleasures such as gardening, cooking, and traveling to the beach with her family. Janice was always a lover of dogs, specifically shelties and dachshunds, most memorably Ginger and Sophie, and her grand dog, Cosmo.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Osborn. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her daughters, Lindsey Waldrop and Caitlin (James) Neeley; and three grandsons, Aiden Waldrop, Easton and Rawlings Neeley.
Family, friends, and others who knew Janice are invited to celebrate her life on Thursday, the 30th of October, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood.
