Jared Randall Jackson

He graduated from Hoover High School in 2005, where he was a member of the varsity soccer team. Jared continued his education at Auburn University and was a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. He graduated from Auburn University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After graduating, he worked with his father as a construction superintendent for GRJ Enterprises, Inc.

Jared enjoyed spending time at Smith Lake, water skiing and wake boarding, and snow skiing in Colorado on family vacations. He will be remembered for his kind heart and his role as a caretaker for his mother and brother during her battle with breast cancer.

He is survived by his father, Gregg Randall Jackson (Coralie Drinkard Jackson), brother, Gregory Blake Jackson, step-brothers, Stanley Edward Dinkel (Charity), and Wesley Keith Dinkel, step-sister, Chaney Taylor Ardovino (Chris), nieces and nephews, Morgan Gamble, Jacob Dinkel, Hazel Dinkel, Tyler, Ashlyn, Ryan and Katelyn Ardovino, grandparents, Leonard Arnold Jackson and Janet Lindsay Jackson, Joan Parker Jackson, and Dr. John and Caroline MacLennan.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Tressa Patterson Jackson, and his grandfathers, Sidney W. Patterson and Edward Wesley Drinkard.

Visitation and funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Road, Birmingham, AL 35209. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 to 1:00 and funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place 4:00 PM at Valley Hill Memorial in Pell City, AL.
