Jean Francis Carnaggio, born on April 21st, 1934, journeyed peacefully into eternal rest on October 22nd. Her life was an embodiment of unwavering faith, boundless love, and profound dedication to her family, friends, and faith.
Her commitment to the Catholic church was the guiding light for all aspects of her life. Jean was an active parishioner at St Francis Xavier Church in Birmingham. She was a catalyst for inspiration from creating and leading a weekly rosary after Friday Masses to multiple church sodality gatherings where she was an active member of the St. Elizabeth Guild. In addition to her dedicated Parish leadership/contributions, she hosted charismatic prayer meetings at her home and never missed an opportunity to share her faith. She loved cooking for her friends and family, tending to her flowers, and feeding birds. She possessed tender affection and care for all animals and helped anyone in need that she encountered with generosity of spirit and resources. She developed meaningful friendships with her caretakers that became a part of her family. She never missed an opportunity to profusely thank her care team for their presence and support. The family would like to recognize the compassionate care given to our mother by Angelica, Carolyn, Cheryl, Grace, Liddia, Nell, Shawnda, Teretha and Compassus Hospice
Jean is survived by her four children and their families: Joseph Carnaggio and his wife Suzanne with their children Courtney, Hannah, and Joey; Mary Lou Reynolds and her husband Dwight with their son Marcus; Clemmy Closson and her husband Tim with their children Aubrey and Matthew; and Richard Carnaggio and his son Vincent.
May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the heavenly embrace of God, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her including her husband Vincent Anthony Carnaggio.
