Jean G Jeffery

Jean Griggs Jeffery of Vestavia Hills passed away June 16, 2019. She was born December 10, 1933 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Edward Jeffery, her parents, Sophia Louise Rogers Griggs and Robert Love Griggs, as well as her stepmother Mildred Griggs. She is survived by her son Robert Stanley Jeffery (Amelia) and her grandchildren Jackson Chace Jeffery and Reese Elizabeth Jeffery. She is also survived by her stepbrother Spencer Allen Armour ,Jr., brother-in-law George Xavier Buche, Jr., nieces Charlotte (Stan) Montgomery, Rachel Buche Leffel, and nephews George Buche III (Janet) and James Jeffery II, six great nieces and two great nephews. She was a long time employee of Regions Financial Corporation. She was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Ascension where she knitted with the Knit Wits. She loved to read, was an avid gardener and talented knitter who made many beautiful creations for her family. Services will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Ascension on Thursday, June 20th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. followed by visitation at the church.
