

He was born to Mike D. Freeman and Nona M. Freeman on May 20, 1941 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. He graduated from Central High School in Shelbyville, served 2 years in the United States Navy, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business from Athens College in Athens, Alabama. Mr. Freeman spent a 40 year career in sales, most of which was in automobile sales. He was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church for many years and then of Shades Mountain Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Carolyn Alice Freeman. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kay B. Freeman; his son, Anthony Freeman (Lynn); and by his two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Alyse Freeman and Meredith Ashley Freeman.
Services will be held at Raleigh Avenue Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24th with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held privately at Alabama National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish to make memorial gifts, the Freeman family asks that you make contributions to Raleigh Avenue Baptist Church designated in memory of Jerry Freeman, to the Bell Center For Early Intervention Programs in Homewood, Alabama, or to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
