Joanne Wald Boutwell

Joanne Wald Boutwell, age 89, of Bluff Park, AL passed away peacefully on May 11, 2022. She was born to Maurice and Ola Wald on October 13, 1932 in Birmingham, AL. Joanne was a graduate of Ensley High School and went on to receive a bachelors degree in accounting from Auburn University.
On August 20, 1955 she married the love of her life Robert (Bob) Boutwell and they were blessed with two daughters, Dell and Lisa.
Joanne worked in accounting for many years for Richard Harris Accounting in Montgomery, AL , Arthur Young & Co, and Robert L. Boutwell, Public Accountants.
She was a faithful member of Shades Crest Baptist Church, and among her love of God she also enjoyed her family, traveling to new places and Auburn Football.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Maurice Wald Sr. and Ola Wald; brothers, Maurice (Virginia) and Roger (Carole) Wald.
Joanne is survived by her husband, Bob; her children Dell McLendon (George), and Lisa Bonds (Frank); grandchildren, Frank Bonds III (Ally), Katie Bonds (Jason Tuten), Emily Sanford (Brandon), Anna McLendon, Maggie Bonds-Watson (Robbie); sister-in-law, Carole Wald (Roger)
A visitation for Joanne will be held Monday, May 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (CDT) at Shades Crest Baptist Church,452 Park Avenue Hoover, AL 35226, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM(CDT). Burial will take place for the family at Alabama National Cemetery.
