John graduated from Dartmouth College in the class of 1977 with a major in History. He served as Head Writer, Editor and Proofreader at Parisian, Inc. from 1987 to 1991. He then wrote and/or edited books on a variety of subjects. John’s book “Twin Killing: The Bill Mazeroski Story” (1995) has been credited with helping “Maz” reach the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001. John was preceded in death by his father, John C. Bird (2013), and mother, Irene G. Bird (1993). He is survived by his sister, Betsy Bird Gellert, and brother, Bruce Bird.
