It is strange, after this time has gone by, that it is hard for me to believe John is no longer with us. I will always remember the weekends  our families would spend  together at either our house or Johns house. Getting Quonset or Browns chicken. The weekend picnics, baseball games, vacations together, the ocean, Disney, just hard to believe. The funny things John would always have to say. I really think he should have been a comedian!! I will never forget the fast pitch baseball games Johns team against my team when we were 13-14 years old!!! Johns team consisted of John and my team consisted of me!! We played with a baseball size rubber ball!! That way no one got hurt on a bean ball!! We threw as hard as our young arms could throw!!! I once hit the highest and longest home run off Bob Gibson that was pitching for Johns team that day and my home run was hit by Orlando Cepeda!!!! Some days my “team” won and sometimes Johns “team” won. Some days I could not hit his pitcher and sometimes He could not hit my pitcher!! One time his team swept my team in a triple header!!! We came back the next day and his team won the first game!!! I finally won the second game of the double header!! We always loved when we got a new rubber ball!! They were expensive!! I think they were $1.00 back then. We would play with them until they would fall apart!! I miss knowing my friend is still around!! Those were the days my friend!!! david

We will miss our friend John. I have known John since sixth grade when we used to play sandlot baseball in the empty lots of Lindenhurst,Il. He was a dear friend that we shared so many memories with. After John married, the four of us were together most weekends for years. It is hard to process that our friend is gone!!! We pray for all that are feeling this loss as we are. May God grant you the peace that passes all human understanding and remember the promise God has made to all that love HIM!!! I believe we will see John again where there is no more pain, sorrow, and suffering, but all those things of this world will be replaced with joy!!! I look forward to seeing John with his big smile that has always lit the room and caused all around him to smile!! D&J

John was in my high school class at Grayslake High.  He was one of the best guys.  Friendly, kind, fun, etc.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  May your memories give you comfort.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my friend and former coworker.  John was truly a good person with a soft and kind heart and never had a bad day. I will miss all the conversations that we had together the laughter that we shared and all the good times at the gib.
