Joshua Alexander Plourde
December 28, 1995 – February 8, 2021
Joshua Alexander Plourde of Homewood, Alabama, passed away on Monday, the 8th of February 2021. He was 25 years of age. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, on December 28, 1995, Josh was a 2014 graduate of Homewood High School and played the trombone in the High School Band for 4 years. Josh had a love for animals, sports, Auburn football, Duke basketball, and will be missed by his family and friends who loved him very much.
Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ludovick “Pete” Plourde (Pepere) and by his grandmother, Alexandria McDonough, who was known as “Gram”. He is survived by his dad, Rick Plourde (Teri Stewart); his mom, Tiffany Hughes; grandmother, Annette Plourde (Memere); two aunts, “Auntie” Donna Fields and Ann Plourde; three uncles, David Plourde (Celia), Tom Plourde (Karen), and Greg Plourde (Jenny). He is also survived by his cousins, Rob Plourde, Michael Plourde, Nick Plourde, and Stephen Plourde.
Friends are cordially invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service being held on Saturday, the 13th of February at Kimberly Church of God located at 9123 Jefferson Street, Kimberly, Alabama 35091. The family will receive friends beginning at One O’clock in the afternoon and the Celebration of Life Service will commence at Two O’clock in the afternoon. Services are under the direction of Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood, Alabama.
