

Kathleen Campisi Pilleteri resident of Mountain Brook, Alabama, passed peacefully Sunday, October 4, 2026. Kathleen was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana born to Frances and Joseph F. Campisi on March 21, 1933. She attended St. Stephens School in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated Ida Moffet School of Nursing Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
Married for fifty-three years to Lee Anthony Pilleteri. The couple enjoyed traveling to many places all over the world. Kathleen and Lee were members of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. They were actively involved in the church. Becoming members in 1966 and Kathleen continued to serve till present day. Kathleen and Lee had five children.
Kathleen was involved in an abundance of volunteer works and clubs including UAB, Hillcrest Hospital, Salvation Army, Decorator's Showhouse, Birmingham Opera Guild, National League of American Pen Women, Cherokee Garden Club, and founding member of Mountain Brook Art Association.
Preceded in death by her parents Frances and Joseph F. Campisi, her sister Bernadine Campisi Wahl, her husband Lee A. Pilleteri, sons Charles A. Pilleteri and Joseph C. Pilleteri.
Kathleeen is survived by daughters Grace Pilleteri Gaines, Frances Pilleteri Gall, and son Lee A. Pilleteri II (Shannon). Grandchildren include Lee A. Pilleteri III, Stephen P. Lewis, David W. Gall, Amy K. Gall, Joseph C. Gall (Kacy), Frances N. Pilleteri, and Lee A. Pilleteri IV. and her daughter in law Josephine M. Pilleteri.
Visitation will be held at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2 Xavier Cir, Birmingham, AL 35213, on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with the Funeral Service following at 11:00 am. A private burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be sent to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
