Dearest Laynee, I have tried so hard to make sense of your passing, but I just can’t. Like so many other family members and friends, you touched us all with your caring heart, generous spirit, and thoughtful being. You will always be one of a kind and we will never forget you...ever.

I will do my best to help your precious and heartbroken mother feel the love all of us have to give her.

Watch over darling Mary Brennan, your mom, dad, brother, and niece, beautiful angel. I am so crushed that you have left this world too soon.

I love you, sweetness.

I was fortunate to be Laynee’s next door neighbor. She had an engaging personality that made you want to know her better so you could claim her for a friend. She had a warm spirit of thoughtfulness that she demonstrated by sharing delicious soup on a cold day and an impromptu gift of a card in my mailbox.

My heartfelt sympathy to Laynee’s family and loved ones. She will certainly be missed and fondly remembered.

I’m so sad to hear about my sweet friend. I have many great memories of my beautiful friend. She made baby playgroup the most fun especially for me when I was struggling with new motherhood. We road back from the beach together and I discovered how much we had in common during the ride back to Birmingham. I’m just sorry that we hadn’t been in touch as much when we moved away. She will always be my most glamorous (and sweet) friend. Her paintings she gave me will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m sending love and prayers to her family and friends.
