Linda J. Gibb

Linda loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Vinesville Baptist Church where she was on the cradle roll. She grew up there and later raised her kids there. For the last 15+ years, she was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. Linda loved serving the Lord by being the secretary of her Sunday School Class, making class books and sending out cards. She spent her life dedicated to her husband, family and serving the Lord. She was a great cook and known for her coconut cakes and homemade pastry.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred R. Johnson, Sr., and husband of almost 60 years, Larry R. Gibb, Sr. She is survived by her daughter Leisa Gibb Greene (David), her son Larry R. (Rick) Gibb, Jr. (Wendy), her son Jeff Gibb, her brother Fred R. Johnson, Jr. (Janice), 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to caregivers Taylor, Summer, Macy, Abbey and everyone at Kindred Hospice.

The family will receive friends at Ridout's Valley Chapel on Friday, the 2nd of July beginning at ten o'clock in with the funeral service at eleven o'clock. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
